Sample Application Projects (Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010/2012/2013/2015/2017/2019/2022)

MailBee.NET Objects setup program installs a number of ready-to-use Visual Studio 2005 (.NET 2.0), Visual Studio 2012 (.NET 4.5), Visual Studio 2017 (.NET Core 2.0) sample application projects of desktop applications (WinForms and Console). These projects can also be opened in newer versions of Visual Studio as well, up to Visual Studio 2022.

The setup program also installs large sample project for ASP.NET which comes in Visual Studio 2008 (.NET 2.0/3.5) and Visual Studio 2013 (.NET 4.5) versions. They consist of many individual pages which demonstrate different aspects of the usage of MailBee.NET Objects. Again, you can open them in Visual Studio 2015/2017/2022 as well.

A live working installation of some of these ASP.NET samples is also available online at Live Demos page.

In particular, the sample projects demonstrate how to use MailBee.NET Objects in various scenarios: POP3, IMAP4, SMTP, bulk e-mail address validation. Other sample projects show how to communicate with e-mail servers over secure TLS/SSL connection and how to use S/MIME for e-mail encryption and other security tasks.

Also, there are a number of OAuth 2.0 samples and tutorials for ASP.NET MVC, console and desktop applications which highlight different aspects of using access and refresh tokens with Microsoft and Google providers (Gmail, Outlook.com, Live.com, Hotmail.com). Google Apps Service Accounts are also supported. This functionality is only available for .NET 4.5+, .NET Core 2.0+, and UWP. See .NET Core Edition topic for details.

.NET 4.5 versions of all the samples use async/await methods whenever possible.

Most sample projects come in VB.NET and C# versions (.NET Core projects are C# only).

To access the sample projects, click Browse WinForms Samples or Browse ASP.NET Samples buttons in MailBee.NET Start Menu tool, or just open My Documents\MailBee.NET Objects\Samples folder.
