Running Message Queue service
Choose "Message Queue Control Panel" from
program group of MailBee Message Queue. Control Panel applet appears.
To start the service, click Start button on Status tab. To stop
the service, click Stop button.
You can always exit Control Panel applet by clicking OK or Cancel
buttons. Exiting Control Panel does not terminate the service if it is already
running.
On the first run, you need to configure Message Queue. The following settings
must be specified:
- License Key (located on Main tab) - you receive it when downloading
or registering trial version of MailBee Message Queue
- Queue Directory Path (located on Main tab) - pickup folder
for Message Queue. Message Queue periodically polls this directory for new
messages and sends them when they are found. You place messages to this directory
by calling SendToQueue method of MailBee SMTP component (SubmitToPickupFolder
for MailBee.NET SMTP component)
- Server (located on SMTP tab) - your SMTP server name or IP
address
There are some additional parameters you might need to set depending on your network
configuration. See Configuring Message Queue topic for details.
