Just like the recently released .NET version of MailBee components, ActiveX version is now also shipped with Office 365 OAuth 2.0 IMAP/POP3 sample which does not require end user's consent to access their mailbox (non-interactive case, also known as "Credentials Flow").
Once installed, you can find the corresponding sample and instructions in My Documents/MailBee Objects/Samples/OAuth2_VBScript folder.
Note that Office 365 only enabled OAuth 2.0 Credentials Flow for IMAP/POP3 but not for SMTP. SMTP still works the same old login/password way as before.
Other changes in this MailBee Objects release include:
- SSL certificate validation logic rewritten, works faster and more reliably/correctly.
- PLAIN and LOGIN authentication methods for IMAP (including delegated account access).
- PLAIN authentication for SMTP now supports delegated account access (where account to send from and authenticating account are different).
- Attachment.ContentDisposition property.
To update, uninstall the current version and install the new one from https://afterlogic.com/download/email-components
This update is compatible with the existing v9 keys. Still, you need to have a valid maintenance contract in order to upgrade. In case if your maintenance contract has already expired, you'll need to renew it first.
