WebMail Lite 8 offers a tool which can check whether the server meets system requirements, to confirm that all PHP extensions required are available, and that data directory of WebMail Lite 8 installation can be located and written into.
It's a good idea to run the test when setting up a blank installation of the product, or after making some changes, such as adding modules, or moving data directory outside of web directory for security reasons.
To run the test, add ?install to the installation URL, for example:
If everything is OK, you'll see something like this:
If all the requirements are met, you can press "Next" to be redirected onto login page, or into the interface if you're logged in already.
If some of the conditions aren't met, they will be highlighted in red. One of the most typical issues is lack of write permissions for data directory.
